Pininyahang Baka (Beef with Pineapples)


Ingredients:
1 kilo lean beef, cubed
1 cup pineapple juice
4 pcs beef bouillon cubes
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 pc onion, minced
1 pc hot chili pepper, chopped
2 pcs bay leaves
5 pcs peppercorns, cracked
2 Tbsp. cornstarch dissolved in
1/2 cup water
3 Tbsp. sugar
1 small can pineapple chunks
1 pc red bell peppers, toasted, peeled and sliced
1 pc green pepper toasted, peeled and sliced

How to cook pininyahang baka:

  • Cook beef, pineapple juice, bouillon cubes, garlic, peppercorns, onion, bay leaves and chili pepper in a pressure cooker for 20 minutes or until tender.
  • Set aside. In a saucepan, blend cornstarch in broth and simmer over low fire. Add sugar and pineapple chunks and cooked beef. Transfer to a serving platter and garnish with bell pepper strips. Serve hot. Serves 8
